The Full Circuit (Mangal)

The most structurally complete archetype in the library. Reversal is the engine, crisis is the fuel, and the story reaches full resolution at Sa'. Complex machinery, triumphant landing.

The Full Circuit is the canonical 'complete story' structure. The protagonist begins in a stable world, is disrupted, pursues, is reversed, faces crisis, gains revelation, reaches climax, and resolves. Every swara on the scale gets meaningful screen time. This is the architecture that most mainstream genre filmmaking aspires to, and rarely fully achieves. When it works, the audience experiences a complete emotional circuit: they leave satisfied in a way that other archetypes do not quite match.

No swara is absent or dominant beyond reason. The Ma-Pa axis carries the most weight, but Ga and Ni and Sa' all earn their time. The arc feels like a complete sentence: beginning, middle, and end, each portion earning its place. The All Is Lost beat, when present, hits structurally hard because the audience has been made to care about every phase that preceded it.

Not The Quick Pivot (Chanchal), which has higher Ga relative to Ma and resolves more through momentum than through the full drama of reversal and crisis. The Full Circuit earns its resolution the expensive way, through the complete machinery of all eight registers.

Every swara on the scale must earn its time. Do not shortchange Dha (Revelation): a Full Circuit that skips the moment of genuine understanding becomes mechanical. The Ma-Pa axis is the engine, but the Dha-Ni passage is what makes the resolution feel earned rather than merely achieved.
