Pacing Verdict

The screenplay demonstrates excellent pacing, skillfully balancing the methodical, procedural nature of investigative journalism with mounting emotional and narrative tension. The five-act structure is well-served, with Act 1 efficiently establishing the new editor's mandate and the team's reluctant pivot, while Acts 2 and 3 build momentum through the accumulation of victims, priests, and systemic evidence. The only minor rhythm issues occur in the post-9/11 section (Act 4), where the necessary pause feels slightly abrupt, and the montage sequences, while effective, occasionally compress the investigative grind a bit too neatly.

A story that ends in unresolved disruption. The incitement never converts into completion, the story rests mid-process, and asks the audience to sit with irresolution.
