Pacing Verdict
The screenplay establishes a deliberate, unsettling pace in Act 1 that accelerates sharply with the confinement in Act 2, creating a strong, escalating tension. The dialogue rhythm is efficient, and the scene-to-scene flow maintains a relentless forward drive once the trap is sprung. However, the extended philosophical debate in the library (Scene 19) and some of the basement repetitions in the final act slightly disrupt the momentum, causing minor drag before the brutal climax. Overall, the pacing is compelling and well-managed within its own structural logic, with only a few sections that could be tightened.
Narrative Archetype
Courage under fire. The crisis builds systematically and the protagonist advances through it by step rather than enduring in place. The story earns its resolution through disciplined escalation.
