Pacing Verdict

The screenplay maintains strong narrative momentum, especially through the central recording-studio sequence, where the energy builds naturally from rehearsal to performance without feeling rushed. Dialogue rhythms are well varied—quiet, intimate exchanges are balanced against lively, fast-paced banter—and the pacing of Act 2’s middle section (scenes 33–67) is particularly effective, with tension and release alternating through the loan, recruitment, and studio scenes. The only minor issue is a slight drag in the early montage of busking vignettes (scenes 1–8), which, while establishing tone, could tighten by a scene or two before the main relationship kicks in.
