The screenplay demonstrates excellent pacing, with a clear and effective rhythm across all five acts. The dialogue is brisk and witty, driving the narrative forward, while the scene-to-scene flow expertly balances moments of high tension (such as the carriage proposal and the Box Hill picnic) with necessary periods of release and character reflection. The only minor rhythm issues occur in the middle acts, where a few scenes with Miss Bates and the Eltons feel slightly repetitive, but the overall momentum is well-maintained and the information is delivered efficiently.
