Pacing Verdict
The screenplay demonstrates excellent pacing within its 6-act anthology structure, with each story maintaining its own distinct rhythm while contributing to an overall sense of momentum. The shorter, action-driven tales (Buster Scruggs, All Gold Canyon) are brisk and efficient, while the longer, more contemplative segments (Meal Ticket, The Gal Who Got Rattled) allow for deliberate, character-focused breathing room. The only minor issue is a slight drag in the middle of "The Gal Who Got Rattled" during the extended courtship dialogue, but the anthology format prevents any single section from undermining the whole.
Narrative Archetype
Pursuit without closure. The story is about the doing, not the arriving, and it ends in ongoing tension rather than resolution.
